SugarCRM Makes the 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SFA

According to the most recent sales force automation report by Gartner, SugarCRM made the magic quadrant as a visionary in the sales force automation market.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant is a research methodology used by Gartner to evaluate the competing players in major technology markets. Broken down in a graphical format, it allows decision makers to have a better understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of a particular provider.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation measures companies based on two areas. First is their ability to execute. Secondly is their completeness of vision. Based on these two areas, providers are separated into 4 different categories.

Niche players make up the bottom left of the magic quadrant. These are companies that either specifically focus on a small segment of the market or they simply lack the ability to execute and the completeness of vision that their competitors have.

Challengers are companies that have a strong ability to execute. However, these companies lack the vision of where the market is headed. As a result, they may do a good job right now, but long term, their system may fall behind what the market needs.

Visionaries are companies that have a strong ability of understanding where the market is headed. However, these companies may lack the execution abilities that other market players may have.

Leaders are companies that are strong in their understanding of where the market is headed. They are also strong in their ability to execute.

SugarCRM received an excellent rating in the Gartner Magic Quadrant in 2014. They were recognized in the visionary quadrant. They also received the highest rating in the ability to execute out of all of the other companies recognized in the visionary quadrant. In fact, in the quadrant they are literally positioned right under the line that separates the visionaries from the leaders.

According the Gartner report, SugarCRM continues to experience sales momentum and continues to appear on shortlists for Sales Force Automation options around the world.
